Description of the Tour in Arequipa 4 days visit: Vicuñas Reserve, Colca Canyon, City Tour
FIRST DAY: WELCOME TO THE CITY OF AREQUIPA
The day of your arrival at the airport, we will be waiting for you with a sign with your respective name, and then we will go to the hotel selected by you.
In the afternoon, the tour to the “White City” will begin, starting with the Santa Catalina Convent, known as the gem of Arequipa and open to the public since 1970, after having been in seclusion for 400 years. Likewise, you will visit the Plaza de Armas, the cloisters of the Company of Jesus and the neighborhoods of Cayma and Yanahuara, with a magnificent view of the El Misti volcano and visit the traditional colonial house called Mansion of the Founder.
SECOND DAY: HEADING TO THE COLCA CANYON AND VICUÑAS RESERVE
Continuing with the tour, you will depart in the morning towards the Colca Canyon, passing through the foot of the Chachani volcano. During the trip we will see the pampas of Cañahuas and Arrieros where the National Reserve of Vicuñas, Vizcachani, La Pulpera, Callalli, Sibayo and Tuti Villages are located. You will reach an altitude of 4,000 meters above sea level where you will appreciate the flora and fauna typical of this ecological floor, you will also observe the beautiful natural lagoons of Bofedales and Mar Atrapado next to giant rocks that are shaped like castles, to then reach Chivay. In the afternoon you will visit the Thermal Baths of La Calera where you will remain for a period of approximately one hour and 30 minutes. Which contains medicinal waters that exceed 40 degrees, since it is recommended for bodily diseases, and then you will go to your respective hotel in the Colca Valley.
THIRD DAY: VIEW OF THE CONDORS IN THE COLCA CANYON
In the morning, the tour will continue towards the “Cruz del Cóndor”, a place where you will appreciate the Canyon and from this point you will be able to observe the condor in its natural habitat. To then make a brief stop at the “Cruz del Cóndor” and continue the trip through the Colca Canyon admiring the small towns of Pinchocclo, Madrigal, Lari, Maca, Achoza, Yanque, etc. Then you will return to Arequipa to rest.
FOURTH DAY: TRANSFER FROM THE HOTEL TO THE AIRPORT
After tasting your breakfast, we go to the Arequipa airport where we end the tours in the City of Arequipa.
