Tour to Machu Picchu in one day with the Train Company "Peru Rail"

Description of the excursion to Machu Picchu

We will go through your hotel in the city of Cusco 1 hour before the departure time of your train, we will take you to the train station, located in the town of Poroy (30 min) where you will board the train of the company “PERURAIL”, it will start your trip to the town of “Aguas Calientes” (2000 masl) that lasts 4 hours.

We will arrive at the Aguas Calientes station and they will be able to visit the town of the same name, have a snack and wait until 11:30 a.m. to go to the bus station, to ascend 400 m high, along a zigzagging path for 30 minutes until we arrive. to the incredible world wonder “The Sanctuary of Machu Picchu”, known as “The Lost City of the Incas”.

The guided tour begins exactly at 12:00 noon and upon arrival at the citadel of Machu Picchu we will go through the control where you will deliver your entrance ticket, from this place the guided tour will begin, you will visit the main sites of the city such as: Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the Royal Rooms, the Temple of the Three Windows and the cemeteries, the guided tour will last more than two hours. At the end, you will be given free time to take a walk around the citadel or if you want to have lunch at the Sanctuary Lodge Hotel, another option that you have is to return to the town of Aguas Calientes and have your food in one of the various restaurants (Lunch is not is included in the package).

In the afternoon you will take the return train (show up at the station 30 minutes before the departure time of your train), the return will follow the same route as the outbound trip, when you arrive at the train station, we will be waiting for you to take it to your hotel.
